Thank you for your interest in Seven Towns as a potential developer and agent for your idea. I hope that the following will be of interest to you.

Seven Towns is an international organisation creating new product ideas for the Toy and Game industry worldwide. In the last 35 years the company has introduced more than 320 original games and toys throughout the world. Some of these successes, like Rubik's Cube, Boglins, Weebles and Junior Monopoly, have achieved mass consumer recognition and have made their creators very wealthy.

Seven Towns derives its main income from royalty bearing licenses. These have exceeded $2,500,00 in each of the last ten years. This consistent performance enables the company to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in new product development each year.

The company's area of expertise extends from the conception of a product to its production. This means invention, evaluation of external ideas and collaboration with free-lance inventors, design, prototype development, production engineering, sourcing manufacture, negotiating licensing agreements and the collection and distribution of royalties.

Our headquarters are in London, but we also have an office in Tokyo. From these bases we have built close working relationships with all the major toy and game manufacturers in Europe, America and the Far East.

We at Seven Towns like to think that each toy and each game has its own integrity. To safeguard it and to keep faith with the original idea continuity is vital. As an organisation we are small enough and as individuals committed enough to stay with an idea at every stage of its evolution into a fully-fledged game or toy.

New products are the lifeblood of the toy industry. Certainly original ideas are the source of our own existence, and we are conscious that some of the greatest ideas did not originate from professionals. Cabbage Patch doll, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Rubik's Cube were all invented by individuals who had nothing to do with the business prior to their success within it.

Hundreds of ideas every year find their way to us from all over the world. We evaluate each one of them carefully but in order to make the most of each ideas we only take on a very few.

A few years ago inventors dreamt up good ideas and then contacted toy companies, through agents or directly, in order to have a chance of a sale. Recently and increasingly in the future, it is necessary to demonstrate the play value, TV appeal, method of manufacture and price-value relationship of prospective products. More often than not Seven Towns is asked to design, style, engineer and source the manufacturing of our inventions.

Seven Towns has responded to this demand and provides a fully integrated range of facilities and expertise needed to bring any new product to the market. We would like to build on our reputation in order to attract the best inventing and design talent so that Seven Towns becomes the first port of call for inventors and manufactures alike.

I am sure you will understand that we do not have time to personally meet with you in the first instance. On the other hand if your ideas have commercial merit we can work closely and on a personal level with you to bring your ideas to fruition.

Please could you send your idea to me at the above address and I will do my best to respond within a few weeks. A prototype is not necessary at this stage – some photos and rules or drawings and an explanation will be fine.

Yours sincerely,

Chrisi Trussell
