Seven Towns are pleased to welcome Lia and Oscar to the invention team.
Lia is a Nottingham Trent University graduate (Product Design, 2025), though she’s been designing toys for most of her life. She began patterning plush at around seven and has been drawn to character creation ever since.
Before finishing her degree, Lia also spent time as an intern at Seven Towns, building early industry experience alongside her studies.
Her work leans heavily on colour as a tool for expression—using it to shape personality and bring designs to life. Influenced by toys like Littlest Pet Shop, Zoobles, and My Little Pony, she has a clear soft spot for anything small, cute, and colourful. Outside of design, she enjoys games like Flamecraft and Fossilis and Flip 7, which match her love for playful, creative thinking.
Oscar studied Graphic Communication at Bath Spa, where he focused on the thinking behind design while also developing practical skills like bookbinding and printmaking.
Oscar is also a keen board gamer and particularly enjoys developing interesting game rules and dynamics. His favorites include Betrayal at House on the Hill, Chameleon, Quacks of Quedlinburg, and Root. Oscars work is often driven by humor, using it to make everyday or heavier subjects more engaging - seen in projects like Mews @ 10 (Replaced ten of the most depressing news stories with cats and usually ended in a gloriously cheap punchline) and the Meowcbeth Tapestry, a five-meter, hand-sewn retelling of Macbeth with cats.
More broadly, he’s interested in thoughtful, inclusive design that makes the ordinary more engaging. Together, Lia and Oscar bring different strengths but a shared interest in playful, character-led design - whether that’s through colour, storytelling, or the occasional cat... We can't wait to see what Lia and Oscar come up with. Welcome Both!
